El principio de funcionamiento se produce cuando el fluido refrigerante ecol\u00f3gico recorre un circuito cerrado, el fluido entra en el panel solar, el cual sufre la acci\u00f3n del sol, la lluvia, el viento, la temperatura ambiente y otros factores clim\u00e1ticos, hasta un intercambiador de calor, que con la ayuda de un peque\u00f1o compresor calienta el agua. Despu\u00e9s el l\u00edquido se enfr\u00eda y el circuito se repite.
