ENERGIE HONORED WITH POVEIRO RECOGNITION MEDAL

As part of the celebrations of the 50 years of the elevation of Póvoa de Varzim to a city, the Municipality of Póvoa de Varzim held a tribute ceremony where it promoted 33 distinctions, among companies, institutions and personalities that have contributed significantly to the development and prestige of the city.
“This year, the model of the city day ceremony will be substantially different, as it is the closing of the 50 years of elevation to the city. It will be a model that aims to distinguish companies that, by their example, constitute ways of developing the name of Póvoa de Varzim and are job-creating, all of them with more than 25 years. They are reference companies for us, and it is important to honor them with this special Poveiro Recognition Medal,” said the mayor, Aires Pereira.v
Among the honorees, ENERGIE stood out, recognized for its commitment to innovation and sustainability. The company, which has established itself as a reference in the renewable energy sector, not only nationally but also internationally, was represented by its CEO, Luís Rocha, who received the medal and Official diploma on behalf of ENERGIE.
Luís Rocha, whose leadership was crucial for the growth and success of ENERGIE, expressed his gratitude for this recognition.
The tribute ceremony took place on June 16, 2024, at the Municipal Sports Pavilion. The event was open to the public and was attended by several local personalities, ending with a special performance by the acclaimed fado singer Cuca Roseta, who closed the festivities with her unmistakable voice.
The tribute to ENERGIE and Luís Rocha highlighted the importance of business innovation and commitment to sustainability for the development of Póvoa de Varzim, celebrating the past and looking hopefully towards the future.
