JULY | AUGUST / 2024

ENERGIE with its partner SunSystems is ending the half-year period with another exemplary Pool Air- Conditioning project. This is an installation in Jerez de la Frontera, for which 4 Thermodynamic 40 Solar Blocks were designed and installed, for Heating the Water of the Olympic Swimming Pool and supporting the Climatisation of the ambient air. The installation of these four pieces of equipment, totalling 160 Thermodynamic Solar Panels with respective titanium gas-water exchangers, allows for high exchange efficiency of the pool water. This intervention, together with the installation of a technical cover, will allow the period of use to be extended to the entire year.

Thermodynamic Solar Blocks were chosen for their ability to use energy from the environment to heat water, resulting in a significant reduction in electricity consumption. Compared to traditional systems, this technology is capable of saving up to 60% of energy, which represents a substantial advance in terms of energy efficiency.

In addition to energy savings, the Heat Pump will help to reduce the installation’s carbon emissions. With less dependence on fossil fuels, resulting in a significant decrease in carbon emissions. This initiative is aligned with global sustainability and environmental responsibility efforts, highlighting the pool as a model of green innovation.

For athletes using the pool, constant water temperature is crucial for effective training, improving swimmers’ comfort and performance. This is particularly important for competitions, where thermal consistency can influence results.
