The JeronimuFlats building in Braga has strengthened its commitment to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability with the installation of the ECOTOP 200IX and ECOTOP 250 systems, the latest generation of Thermodynamic Solar Heat Pumps from ENERGIE. The project covers all 30 apartments in the development, ensuring an efficient and reliable Domestic Hot Water (DHW) solution.
The storage tanks were installed in the dedicated technical areas on the balconies, while the thermodynamic solar panels were mounted on the balcony screens using discreet structures designed to preserve the building’s aesthetic. Available in 200L and 250L versions, the systems feature storage tanks made of AISI 444 or Duplex 2205 stainless steel, materials known for their high corrosion resistance, robustness and durability.
ECOTOP’s thermodynamic solar technology ensures continuous hot water production up to 55°C, regardless of weather conditions. The system includes an indoor unit (storage tank) and an anodized aluminium thermodynamic solar panel, lightweight, moisture-resistant and corrosion-resistant, with an estimated lifespan of 25 years.
Key features of the ECOTOP include:
- Smart photovoltaic function for optimising surplus energy from PV panels;
- Weekly scheduling and holiday mode;
- Programmable anti-Legionella function
- Multilingual digital control;
- Silent operation and low energy consumption.
With a performance coefficient (COP) of 3.9, tested according to EN16147, ECOTOP stands among the most efficient solutions on the market, offering maximum comfort with minimum energy consumption. The units also include a 10-year warranty on the thermodynamic solar panel and 5 years on the tank, ensuring long-term reliability and peace of mind.
The installation of the ECOTOP 200IX and 250 systems in the 30 JeronimuFlats apartments highlights the project’s commitment to innovative technologies that reduce environmental impact and enhance thermal comfort, a significant step towards a more sustainable living future.
