The construction of Casas do Ninho, a residential development situated in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal, has been recently completed. A building in completion phase, with 25 apartments, each equipped with ENERGIE Thermodynamic Solar Systems for Central Heating (CH) and Domestic Hot Water (DHW).
The solar panels were installed on the rooftop of the building, and powering of the equipment was designed for three different uses, according to the size of the apartments.
In some cases, the water heater and solar block were placed in a cabinet on the balconies. Structures were created to shelter the equipment from the weather; in other cases, the water heaters were placed in the kitchen cupboard and the solar block on the balcony, sheltered by the same structure against adverse weather. Finally, in a third scenario, the solar blocks were installed on the roof, and the water heater in the pantry of the apartments.
An example of quality and efficiency for the future apartment owners.
