ENERGIE INVESTS IN SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY

In keeping with its commitment to energy sustainability, ENERGIE Portugal is taking a significant step in the direction of cleaner and greener transport through renewing its vehicle fleet and now incorporating both electric and hybrid vehicles. This initiative aligns with the company’s commitment that reflects not only in its products but also in their manufacturing processes and decision-making.

The first phase in this transformation saw the installation of a solar panel system to take advantage of the sun’s energy to generate clean power. Now, the introduction of electric and hybrid vehicles represents another fundamental step on the company’s path towards sustainability.

The transition towards electric and hybrid vehicle not only underlines the ENERGIE Portugal commitment to reducing its carbon footprint but also conveys its commitment towards sustainable transport solutions. In opting for electric and hybrid vehicles, the company is contributing towards ensuring cleaner air, lower levels of greenhouse gas emissions and a generally healthier planet.

In parallel with renewing its fleet, ENERGIE installed the latest generation of charging equipment able to accommodate up to six vehicles at three separate but simultaneous charging points for electric and hybrid vehicles. This infrastructure enables staff, visitors and partners to embrace sustainable mobility and thereby contributing towards minimising our collective impact on the surrounding environment. The route of ENERGIE Portugal towards sustainability extends across various different aspects ranging from product development through to manufacturing practices and corporate decisions. The commitment towards more ecological means of transport is an extension of the company’s pledge to strive for both environmental responsibility and a cleaner and more sustainable future.
