ENERGIE DISTINGUISHED AS ONE OF THE BEST SMES PORTUGAL 2020

ENERGIE is among the best Portuguese SMEs “generating results”, with “financial solidity”. The recognition is from the consultancy company Scoring, which every year chooses the best small and medium-sized companies operating in Portugal. After a particularly difficult year in 2020, ENERGIE’s CEO, Luís Rocha, points out, “this business management award is yet another incentive for the company to focus on innovation and competitiveness”.
Located in Póvoa de Varzim, ENERGIE is in the lot of the best five percent of the companies in terms of performance and financial strength, having been distinguished with the “Scoring TOP 5%” certification of the Best SMEs Portugal 2020. “It is an enormous honour for us to know that we are among the best and to be considered a reference in the sector”, the CEO of ENERGIE, Luís Rocha, says expressing his satisfaction and identifies the “commitment of the entire team in achieving the goals set” as a success factor.
In the restricted group, according to the criteria defined by Scoring, only companies that “comply with the financial transparency requirements and, simultaneously, demonstrate a high economic and financial profile” are included. In addition, the study performed evaluates two central objectives of the company: maximising results from sales and available resources, and ensuring financial solidity in the short, medium and long term.
According to the Score certification, and in the financial year 2019, ENERGIE achieved a Performance and Financial Soundness Index of over 80%, also showing consistency in the economic and financial aspects, which is only accessible to less than 5% of national companies.
In 2019, ENERGIE, a 100 percent Portuguese company, closed the year with a growth of 30 percent compared to 2018, a turnover of around 8.5 million euros and the production of 10,000 thermodynamic solar panels.
Founded in 1981, ENERGIE produces thermodynamic solar panels with applications in the fields of central heating, domestic hot water, swimming pool heating and the heating of large volume water.
